Clutch? Trans? or Operator?

I'm trying desperately to get my '73 96 with 156k out of my front yard and into storage for winter. Problem is I can't get the car into gear, it just grinds and make me cringe. It drove just fine when I parked it, but unfortunately the car has been sitting since summer. So far I've tried:
1. Adjusted clutch free play.
2. Bled master.
3. Topped off trans fluid.
Nothing seemed to help. I know the trans isn't frozen as the car will move if started while in gear. Bad cylinders? Clutch toast? I'm not sure what else to do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Mike
