Ahoy, yep had th esame problem. If yo ublock it the Oil filler cao will blow off. Actually put a strap on th ecap and tie it to a plug lead.
What I did re breather is to get some small bore 3/8" (I think) irigation pipe and elbows I then made up a run that turned tight from the breather hole and ran it around to join into the line that feeds into your air filter - "T"'d into the fuel canister breather line. To fit it into the valve cover I cut the barb off and built it up with Duct Tape then put a small pilot hole into the valve cover and screwed it into place. So far its worked without a hitch.
My air filter is a "Ram-Flow" with a single breather hole. I have since ditched the fuel breather and just run the breather straight in to th eair filter.
Are you also replacing the camshaft? If so you may want to get a lower temperature thermostat off Jack and MArk Ashcraft (160 degrees) as mine suffered bad overheating issues.
