I have a 1971 Saab 96 and also a 1974 Saab Sonett III.
I recently acquired the 96 and wanted to replace a number of basic items. I decided to replace the Alternator/Fan/etc. belt. I first looked up the excellent parts list that I think Bruce Turk compiled some time ago.
That list shows the following with my commentary in paretheses:
Fan belt
1. Dayco 15400 (too short online info Rockauto re this model shows it is only 1030.48mm)
2. NAPA 09903 (can't find)
3. NAPA 257425 (too long Belt packaging says 13/32 x 43-1/8 inches OC = 10mm x 1095mm OC)
The belt that was on my Saab 96 was marked as follows: B119 NAPA 25-10803 312
RockAuto.com shows several alternatives including the two Dayco and NAPA ones above - which don't work. (see screen shot attached)
