Brake master cylinder question
Posted by Robert (more from Robert) on Mon, 19 Jul 2021 10:49:12
I have a 66 Saab 96 with front drum brakes set up and currently having issues with my brakes not working well. The brake don't engage very well with the pedal taking to long to engage the brakes, and are just not safe to drive the Saab around with. Brake pads, cylinders and brake lines have all been renewed.
Currently the brake master cylinder on the Saab is from a later v4 Saab similar to the one found here http://skanmobileclassics.com/?product=737176-master-cylinder
My question is how much difference are the later Saab master cylinder (non power boosted ones) compare to the earlier one from the 2 stroke era? Would that be enough to cause a issue in pedal travel on the Saab?
