This was before my garage collapsed, it was a great looking car for sure! The paint was in great condition when waxed up. It was Testament to how strong these things are, the wooden beam that supported the building collapsed and landed on the fender https://drop.ceux.org/saab/garage-collapse.jpg.
but... we're making progress to fixing it. Rodger in mass has given me a new hood and fender, I roped in a new windshield a few weeks back I got from Tom Donney, I finished rebuilding the transmission, and the car actually runs and drives now! Only hiccup seems to be soft brakes and my outer passenger CV is clicking pretty badly. Both seem like light jobs compared to this transmission job.
The rest of the list is like: fix the rusty door bottoms, finish tapping out the roof dents, fix the air scooop, get the hood to seat, and transfer all the chrome over to the new fender and hood, weld some speed holes in the floor, and fix the headliner and door seals. all in all... not too bad
The biggest shame is the paint though, the old paint and patina it just looked great!
