Had similar experiences

I've contacted a few european companies that told me they were not shipping to the USA now - too complicated to deal with it and they don't know what the customer will end up getting charged.

I bought a bunch of parts for a commercial company in France. Total cost for the parts with shipping was about $125, They shipped the parts and told me that the shipping company would contact me once the parts were in the USA. They did contact me and told me I had to pay "import duties" of about $50+. That was not there fees for shipping since I paid that to the seller already.

So my parts had a tariff of at about 40%!!

So, if anyone thinks that the country of origin or the shipping company or the seller is paying for the cost of the tariffs, think again!!

The US customer pays the tariff!
