Craig, yes you may adjust it, but try a few things first. Confirm the throttle stop plate air gap is correct. Check yourthrottle position sensor. check your ignition points/dwell. Try the mixture knob on your computer. Recheck your timing...your distributer may be a tooth off. Test your aux air valve...here's a simple way. Remove it from the car. Get a pan of boiling water. bring the valve over to the sink and run a stream of water through it...it should pass right through it...drop the valve in the boiling waterfor a few moments. Pick up valve with some tongs and try again...it should restrict all water flow. The fact that the pressure sensor has been adjusted in the past is not really a big deal, but adjusting it is more of an art than science, so go to that last. Based on your MPG things aren't that far off, so start with making sure the motor is properly tuned to start. you will have check/adjust your timing and idle adjustments as you go, so the slightest adjustment on the pressure sensor can make for a lot of work. Also, roadtest as you go, or you may end up with a nice idle, but lousy performance. These adjustments can be a pain in the neck, so access to a good exhaust gas anylizer will make things a lot easier. Check out the archives on this site on this matter, there are several references to it.
