I used to rent one of those clamp-on-the-bumper tow bars from U-haul years ago. I'm not sure they are available anywhere now as they aren't useful on modern cars. Most tow dollies are too wide for the narrow track on the 96. As I recall, 96 bumpers are held onto the main bracket off the frame by one large bolt. A bar could probably be made to bolt directly to those brackets. I'd recommend using a Grade-8 bolt to attach it firmly to the bracket. Design any swivels to be in front of this joint.
