It is a pity you don't have the stats for the later 99s. The front spings on the later models have only 9 turns as opposed to the eleven on the 72 model. They also have different mountings. I think from about 72 - 73 on Saab used a pivoting bottom spring mount for the front spring...hence the reduced number of turns (and stiffer rate?).
I still would like to do the swap, but it will need to be a complete swap, suspension arms and all, requiring the removal of the engine :(
It is now a gona job (I'm gona do it sometime!)
