Has anybody done a compression check on the engine and checked the valve adjustment?? That is ALWAYS the first place to start when diagnosing problems. Mechanical condition first, Electrical second, and carburation last (although with that carb I would always do a quick check of the diaphragm for damage). In fact you might recheck it now.

Distributor bushing problems will show up on a dwell meter. If you rev the engine, does the dwell change more than a couple of degrees? Grasp the rotor and try moving the shaft from side to side. It's also possible that the new condenser is defective, although I've seen this much more frequently with Lucas than with Bosch parts.
