If switched power is getting TO the coil but no sparks come OUT of the coil, then the problem has almost gotta be the coil itself. All the points do is switch the coil power on and off; the condenser just smooths out the spikes so the points don't burn prematurely. If the points are turning the +12v on and off, then the coil ought to make sparks if it's OK.

One thing I forgot last time: If the coil makes sparks but the plug wires don't, then the problem could be anywhere between the coil and the plugs, including coil wire, distributor cap, rotor, or plug wires. Cap or rotor are the most likely bets as they're moving parts. However, I once fixed a friend's Oldsmobile Delbert 88 on which the distributor-cap end of the coil wire had broken down and arced so badly that the conductor was burned almost all the way through!

PS -- Today's cryptic tip: Just because parts are new, you can't automatically assume they're good.
