96 front knuckles, how does that bearing nut come off? Posted by TimC [Email] (#3216) [Profile/Gallery] (more from TimC) on Tue, 11 Feb 2003 18:03:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Can anyone help with this one? I'm trying to rebuild a rusty set of front knuckles with very questionable bearings. I've got the knuckles off the car with just the axles hanging off. Ordered a 12 ton press which should be able to press the axle/cv joint off and the bearing out. But how about that bearing nut? It just has 2 notches and nowhere else to grip. I was thinking about taking a big pipe wrench to it, but thougtt I'd better check with those more knowlegable first.
Thanks for any help. Sometime soon I'll post some pix of all the projects.
