Well - even if you mount it directly to the body - which would be a good idea since most of the pumps are noisy as hell - you would still have to drill a hole somewhere for a ground wire. I ended up going back to the original type.
The pump can maintain pressure so it doesn't matter if it is higher or lower - within reason.
Don't mess around with the existing metal fuel lines as long as they are in good condition. Buy yourself some same diameter fuel line at an auto parts place - most will sell it by the foot - and run the flexble stuff anywhere you like.
