Drove 900e 1991 Saab Turbo to Sac, it overheated. Car was in perfect condition and then the Check engine light came on and car started losing power and shut off. (no indication of over heating until then)

Checked the coolant tank (empty). Let the car cool down put in coolant (no leaks in hoses etc) ok.

Tried to turn it over after an hour -it tries to engage but no turn over (kinda like when you are out of gas but I have a full tank)

How screwed up is the car? Was it a timing belt, do these car automatically shut off when they overheat to prevent damage? Need a new engine? Head Gasket ---- What do I do next just give it to me straight

Need to talk to a mechanic and get the scoop on getting it repaired. 510.978.2492 Mark Sprague
