Sunday morning, we had vapor-lock issues w/Laura & her 1-bbl FoMoCo in the parking lot at Copper Mountain. She came with the original Weber 34 ICH as RMSC acquired her. John Collins swapped the carbs in about 45 minutes and -- no worry's mate! Trip back was great! Pat drove her 98% of the time to get her "legs" back in driving a column-shift. (She's been driving an old 1985 Mercedes Benz 300TD for about 10 years.)

Interestingly, I got 30.6 mpg for the 2500+ mile round trip in my 1970 with a Weber 32/36 DGV towing the trailer and having a roof rack while Pat garnered only 26.6 with the 1-bbl 34 ICH for the 1250 trip back to Oregon. Believe the main jet needs to be reduced a tad. :-)

LOTS of nice comments at rest stops, gas stations, lunch stops, etc. for the "mini" caravan of a pair of 1970 Saab 96s. :-)
