The Turbo4 and Turbo6/Aero use different alternators. If you own a Turbo4, keep reading.

It appears that the Turbo4 uses the same alternator as the Buick Regal Turbo. Have your shop check for part number 13502591. Through Saab Parts NA list price is around $1100. The very same unit from GM Parts Direct is around $300 list price with a selling price of around $160.

Before you buy ANY parts for your 9-5 make sure you compare part numbers, prices, compatibility and perhaps availability. I don't wish Saab Parts NA ill will but when they're charging multiple times what one can buy a part for elsewhere...
