This job is a royal pain. After taking a good look at it I decided to leave it to the experts. I bought the parts and my front end guy did the work and aligned the car when done. He had about 10 hours into this job including the alignment. This is what got replaced, and I would have done this a long time ago had I known how good the car rides and steers now - a hell of a difference! I got all the old parts back and studied them. My ball joints and tie rod ends were OK.
Boge/sachs struts (old ones were not leaking but very weak)100.00/ea.
Scan Tech strut mounts (the old ones were demolished)40.00/ea.
SKF (factory) bearings (the old ones looked pretty good)11.00/ea.
OEM stanchion arm bushings (old ones were demolished)14.00/ea.
4 OEM sway bar bushings (old ones were crumbling apart)2.00/ea.
2 plastic GKN outer CV joint boots (LF side was torn)11.00/ea.
Got parts from BMA Auto Parts.
