OK, I had the same thing about 3 years ago with my 9000s. Turns out the Walbro fuel pump was available from NAPA for about $86 bucks. I took the entire assembly out and just replaced the original Walbro pump and it worked fine ever since. So the question is, can you replace a Bosch unit with a Walbro for your system since yes, the Bosch brand is 5X more the money. Most other domestic pumps are about $100. Check on one for a Volvo or BMW and they'll be up there too $$$. Also spend the money for the new little o-rings, there are two per hose connection I believe.
As a DIY it wasn't that hard, just smelly and a nervous 3 hours sitting over 15 gallons of gasoline....you're not a smoker, eh?
