Welcome! Hopefully you'll be one of the V6 owners who frequent this board with positive comments, and not one of the unfortunate ones who've had a negative experience. It does seem that the engine has the potential to cause major stress in your life, regardless of how proactive and educated you try to be.

I've had mine for nearly 6 years and 80K miles. Great car with high maintenance $$$, but I absolutely love it.

Major problem areas:

A/C
Valve cover gaskets
Power antenna
ECU
Transmission mounts
CD changer
Radiator
Windshield washer pump
Water pump
Convert top motor
Many more less $$$......

That being said, the V6 motor and the transmission have been rock solid and as of yesterday (knock on wood) are performing as well as ever.

Kee up with those timing belt and pulley changes - IMHO it's best to be agressive as far as the time intervals. Failure is a total disaster.
