Worst part of story starts with CV Joint rebuild and replacements (139,800 miles) three weeks ago. Done, fine. About one hundred or less miles later, back driver side wheel comes OFF car while dirving. Brought it to shop, having been fed up with DIY. Rear hub replacement, seems fine, but noise coming from other side now. Back in the shop for opposite side hub, front strut cartridges and mounts (seems to be common ailment). Get a call saying passenger side spring in strut was broken, new springs in each side. $1200 for all. Fine. Today, noise from front driver side, get it up and check hub bolts, I can move them by hand - almost lost another wheel in transit. Torqued them down, able to get 40 miles home without incident, but still ANOTHER noise coming from passenger side front (where spring was broken) that resembles a flat thud. My guess is improper installation of strut mount on that side. Need to call garage back tomorrow, trying to figure out where to start conversation. Might just be time for a new car? Any comments or suggestions are needed now more than ever. Rebuilt almost all of front and back end, balances, alignments - car still not rolling right.
