Some hoses last a long time, others do not. There seems to be some variability in them. Perhaps in seeking the lowest cost producer.
When I installed my Viggen IC, I replaced the heater hoses and lower rad hose. They seems perfectly good with around 130K. Left the upper rad hose and it was good till 150K when the 95SET was rearended and totalled.
It would be a good thing to do from a reliability point of view. Changing the t-stat at the same time?
There is a very small U hose on the coolant pump. I changed that while the pump was out to replace the coolant pump adapter o-rings. How old is your pump? Might be a good idea to replace it and that hose, plus the o-rings. If you have a 1995, then the pump may not be the original, as the pump pully to shaft welds were breaking and the pumps were service campaigned. My pump was replaced at 80K km that way, so I did not replace mine at the time that it was out to renew the leaking pump adapter o-rings. The pumps installed under the campaign has a splot of bright paint over the pump wheel shaft weld area. Green? So you can look for that. The adapter o-rings are probably going to leak for sure at some point as they get very hardened from the heat and perhaps from the coolant.
