How fast your NG900S can go?

Yesterday I was on the highway and there was a long long stretch with no cars in view. I have Nokian performance tire and my car I think is in good shape. So I put gradually the gas pedal to the floor or very close to it. The top speed was 180 km/h and the RPM was about 3000. Couldn't go faster then went down to the legal speed limit (ok, a bit over :-)). I tough that the RPM was going to reach 5000 or 6000 but it did not. Is it because I have automatic transmission? I am using 92 octane fuel. Plugs and air filter are almost new. Is it normal?
Thanks!
