I was around 100,000 miles when she started squirting.

It was not major failure but rather a seepage leak by where the hose goes into the head. Given a bit a time am certain full failure would have happened.

Make certain you have a bucket when you disconnect the hoses on the bottom end. There isn't too much room where the hoses go onto the heater core but you can do it.

You may have problems getting the hoses off. If you go the knife route to cut them off you need to be plenty careful that you DO NOT score the pipes that go into the heater core.


This is an easy job but it is also a P.I.T.A. just a bit. But I have no doubt A DIY'er can do this.
