Considering what this vehicle will cost, you do not want to incur repair costs that are 50% of the vehicle worth.

All of the 4 cylinder engines from 1994 - 1996 ?1997? have engine rear seals that are leakers by 100K. Unless you can find out that the rear seal has been replaced (the new seal is different and good), then I would not touch it. Bend over and look up at the bottom of the bell housing. If there is any wet oil there, find something else to buy. Get that oil on your finger to see what it smells like. Engine oil or fuel smell means engine oil. With a manual gear box, leaking gear box oil will smell foul, like sulpher. (Autobox fluid will be red.)

Replacement of the rear seal requires that the trany and flywheel be removed. Huge labor. You have a manual gear box, you will want to renew the clutch while you are in there... so costs will be well over 1K. If a trany input seal, replace the rear seal anyways if in any doubt.

Convertable mechanisms are not trouble free and expensive to repair in some cases.

Check that the low oil pressure light works before engine start. If not, and many (?all in time?) do not, the pressure switch has probably failed. And that may be masking a true oil pressure problem. These engines slude up if neglected on dyno oil. Pull the valve cover and look for an signs of sludge or goo.

Older NG900's require a lot of maintenance to catch up on shocks, mounts, brakes, pullies, water pumps etc. With 62K, perhaps all of this work will be on your shoulders. Might still be on the original idler pullies which is a time bomb. You should be very interested in service records of what has been done, so you do not have to do it all. Perhaps your total end costs would be better put into a newer vehicle, but that would be 20:20 hind sight.

1/2 of 1995 production has the 1994 flakey front suspention layout. If the sway bar attaches to the lateral control arm, you are ok. If it attaches to the trailing arm, find something else.

Check for bent wheels. Limited vertical travel in this design contributes to this problem. Check for siezed rear calipers or pad backing plates. Check all wipers, washers, power seats, seat heaters, radio (get anti theft code), get both remote locking fobs and test both, A/C, check site glass for green tracer dye, door and hatch locks, power antenna, power seats....
