I'm starting to obssess on the clutch. Wake up in the middle of the night and think about it.

What drives me crazy, is there is NO REASON the cable shouldn't work, if Saab would only spend about 20 hours working with a cable company on a new design. It's just not rocket science.

One thing to remember here, is when you hear people raving about hydraulic clutches, is that they are generally comparing a NEW clutch and NEW hydraulic linkage with a USED cable and an ALMOST DEAD clutch. It would be interesting to compare a new clutch and hyd conversion with a new clutch and new, properly installed, properly greased cable. I replaced just the cable on an old clutch a while ago and got clutch action which was vastly improved (though still not as good as our c900s).

Don't get me wrong I am not dissing everyone's new hyd clutches it's just it bothers me that people with $2000-4000 cars are being made to feel there is something incurably wrong with them that needs a $2000 fix.
