I originally thought the problem was intake related but have shifted the theory towards transmission.
I had my clutch replaced last January after 3 years (since purchase) of a stiff clutch, 3 clutch cables, and eventual disintegration of the pressure plate.. this thing literaly was in pieces when my local indy took it apart. After a new clutch and all new seals everything seemed fine for a about a month when I noticed a studder-jerk-hesitation when shifting, espcially from 2nd to 3rd. Lately, during cruising on the highway (in 5th) and my foot firmly on the pedal, I can intermittently feel this studder. It is more evident if I take my foot off the pedal and re-apply pressure on the pedal. I noticed if I ever-so-slowly do this, its not bad. However, if I quickly apply pressure, this produces the most violent outcome. One thing I've noticed is the gear box has a history of leaking and has since been re-sealed twice since purchase Dec 2000 (75k).
-Had major service completed summer 2003. Also replaced rear O2, DIC, TPS, all VAC lines, and cleaned TB and IAC 2 months ago.
Not sure what else to check.
My shocks are totaly gone so I just purchased new Bilsteins and will install them next weekend hopefully.
Thanks
