SAI wiring question

Finding GaryG's previous posts, I followed his advice on disabling the SAI system due to continually getting CEL's from it and not having the money for new parts. I tried many things, but GaryG had the correct advice (for my situation) to pull RELAY C in the main fuse area. All other combinations of pulling fuses, etc., continued to come up with a CEL after a few weeks (the code took some time to set).

I had been running without the CEL (again, Relay C pulled) for some time, and while changing out the foglamp bulb, decided to pull the SAI pump itself since it was no longer active. Immediate CEL next time I drove. The SAI has 2 wires leading to it. I am wondering if I put a resistor over one of these to ground or something similar if I can "fool the car" to think that the pump is still in place (even though the car is never currently attempting to turn the pump on).

Any Advice?
