I never use my parking brake unless I have to, and last night I had to (of course it was also about 9 degrees last night to boot). This morning I couldn't back up. It didn't feel like normal e-brake binding, but more like a broken rear end gear on a rwd car. I thought maybe I'd cracked a rotor and was getting the pad lodged against it, it was that abrupt. This evening when I got home I jacked up the car and removed the offending wheel. I worked things lose by hand and cleaned up the cable sheath and return spring a bit, then re-assembled everything. Works fine now but I backed it into the garage just in case. What a PITA.
