1st of all, thanks to everyone who ducumented the tonneau cover bracket fix - seems to be working great. I just bought a 96SE cheap b/c of the tonneau motor and fixed it for free on xmas - great present.
Only problem is that after I did it, I am getting a "soft top" error message on the SID, even though it appears to be closing OK. It also seems that the tonneau cover may not be latching down correctly? (I never saw the top work as it was supposed to, so I'm not sure.)
Nevertheless, I read on the board that I may need to have it recalibrated or something. IS this an easy thing to do, what does it involve, do I need the computer diagnostic equipment etc? Alternatively, what should it cost to have someone recalibrate it? Does it have to be a dealer, or can most indy's do it also?
And finally, does anyone know of a good independent SAAB mechanic in the Sacramento area that could handle such a project without charging me a fortune?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
