$6k seems high, even if the car is in really good condition. Most of my big maintenance items came up after 80k. Ask what was done at the 65k service and after. If only normal maintenance, you can predict what the car will need... Having said that, a 98 turbo should be a great used car.
This reflects my experience between 65 and 96k miles with a 96SET:
Some AC work or at least maintenance
Front seat heaters may not work by now (expensive unless dyi)
Serpentine belt and idler pulleys or short belt conversion
Pads and rotors on the front, pads only on the back if you are lucky
Water pump and a few hoses, thermostat
Inspect valve cover for leaks
Check SID for missing LCD columns/pixels
Battery, if not replaced recently
Fuel filter if not done at 65k
Cabin filter (people often skip this at 65k)
Manual transmission fluid (not in the Saab service schedule)
Pwer steering flush and refill (also not in the schedule)
One of both O2 sensors between 65 and 95k
Some front suspension work at minimum strut inserts
DI casette around 100k
