I can't believe that it is worth so little to be parted out unless your boss really beat the heck out of this car and didn't really take care of it. If that is the case run away from the car. These 900 turbos, especially from 1998, are pretty damn reliable cars. At 87k miles I can understand replacing a DI cassette but things like a fuel pump, seat electrics and what not don't make much sense. Something aint right, I suspect this car has a fishy history, do you know if it has a clean title? I have a 95 non-turbo with similar miles and I haven't even seen these problems yet, heck I am still on the original clutch cable; double knock on wood!
BTW $500 for the SS sport exhaust and flex pipe sounds pretty right. I think that if you plan on keeping the car for a while its worth the sport exhaust. These cars do eat exhaust systems like most other European cars so the SS alone is a pretty good benefit not to mention the performance gain.
