Your 2.3L has a timing chain, not a belt. We have seen almost no problems with timing chains. If it makes lots of chain noise at idle, then the chain is likely streached an needs replacement. Otherwise it will probably be fine up to 200K. Serpentine belt should be replaced every 60K and the pulleys that it rides on (2 plastic idler pulleys to be exact) are prone to failure. Replace these every 60K too and you'll be fine. You can also go to a shorter serpentine belt and eliminate one of the pulleys. Do a search on "Short Belt Modification" and read until your heart is content.
