Changing it really isn't that hard, but all the work getting to it is the pits! Hopefully this one will last 135,000 miles like the last one did. The MOST difficult parts of the job are 1) getting the fuel out of the tank (my tank has an anti-siphoning device in it - not sure if all do), and 2) getting the new pump assembly into the fuel tank (it involves quite a bit of contortionism!)...

Pricewise, I paid $423 at the dealership for the whole pump assembly; list price is $503. You can order the same thing form eEuroparts for $380, but I needed it now.

You might want to shop around and get some quotes on getting yours done - I've heard prices ranging anywhere from $700 to $1100 for the entire job including the parts.
