What bolt are you referring to? In order to get at the two housing bolts I believe I removed the small coolant hose going up to the throttle body that was in the way. That made it quite a bit easier. I also pulled off the bracket holding the hard pipe from the waterpump and bent it out of the way a bit. Then I could get at the 2 bolts quite easy. I didn't use any special tools: just a box end wrench and a normal socket w/o a flex head, etc. Make sure your socket is 6 point instead of 12 if you are concerned about potentially stripping it out!! I have learned this one the hard way more than once.
