I have fairly significant scoring (the vertical kind as referenced by Swedecar) due to, probably, wear in sprockets of the balance chain, or something to that effect. Since observing, I have run auto-rx, and the engine seems pretty clean now (prev. owner didn't take care of it too well). I am hoping that a clean engine and a new relief valve will cure the valve getting stuck (thus causing a flickering pressure light after running longer trips). I recognize that it may just result in the new valve getting all scratched up and start sticking again, but if the scoring were due to debris that is now removed, I may just get lucky and have the problem mostly cured w/o having to go after the balance chains, sprockets, etc.
