I have battled starting problems on my 96 900S 2.3 for more than a year now, and it has been responding quite well the past few weeks after going after a number of things. I would be interested in a bit more info: Is it consistently not firing, or will it fire after cranking for quite a while? Will it start and die, start and die, or just never start at all? After it is "warm" (run for a while) will you still have problems when you try and start again, or is it only when "cold" that you have problems? What temperatures has it been in denver lately, and can you notice any temp. swings related to "predicting" your problems?
Most recent action taken by me included crank sensor replacement and main relay swap. I also thought my plugs were "wet" and that I was getting spark, but I still theorize that the crank sensor's shaky performance was causing the problems. Also, I had a buildup on the end of the crank sensor that possibly? had been interfering with its performance. If have problems, I would just check that out: it controls a lot of stuff, and I even theorized that the intermittent nature of it maybe led the system to getting flooded first and then I simply couldn't get going very well because of that.
Of course, I have had a long time to theorize over the intermittent nature of my "past" problem... I wish you luck, and let us know!
