.. I am watching this post, as I may be there in the next year or so. I also have a '96 from 10/95 production, so I believe I would be a first gen. tranny as well.

As as sadly funny note: I remember you posting a while back about which mods to address now since you wanted to put in something: well, I guess buying a transmission solves your problem of where to spend "extra" money next.
