As Nickshu stated WOW...
Mine wasn't number of removals, but how long it sat in the garage, and how much of an inconvenience it caused those around me, as the Saab is my only car.
I pulled things apart to find the driver's side strut bump stop "bootie" cover thing "exploded" and searched high and wide for one. No one likes to sell used suspension parts, and a new one was $100 and obtainable in a questionably long time, since they "never" failed.
Also, I had problems with the ball joint booties. To make things worse, it was all put back together, and I still had a pop coming from the passenger side. Scratched head, tightened (what I thought was everything), swore, scratched, and evetually succame (a word?) to driving to the indy. They did the same, and evetually took things apart, and found I did not tighten the strut top mount tight enough. :o\
I may take things apart once more to hack the bump stops, since I did not do it properly the first time. At least this time, "I know what I'm doing," so things "should" go a bit smoother. We'll see.
Good luck!
Sean
