In order to use the military sales program you must either be active duty, retired, or hold a diplomatic passport. These are the people who are eligable for the program in Europe. Going through one of these dealers is cheaper than the states. As an example the base 9-3 no options is $22,800. The dealers keep a few loaded cars around as demos that they discount to base prices after 3-4 months, thats how I got my car. You just have to keep your eye open for the deals.
So if you qualify with the Military program I would contact one of the dealers over here (let me know if you want a number). If not I would tell your local dealer that you want the IDS program, their prices are close to the military deals. Then they will pay for you to fly and ship the car back for free. Just remember that gas costs $4.50 a gallon, so bombing around for a month could be expensive.
Hope all this helps.
