Recap in case you didn't read my post below:
-Saab rebuilt my trans (1999 9-3 with 19,500 miles)last week
-I get the car back and still have problems.
-The next day Saab puts out a service bulletin about the 9-3 trans.
So...
My Saab has been at the dealer all week. They got the upgraded parts which include upgraded/stronger syncros, bearings and some rods. They replaced all the same parts they just put in last week. Also, there is a shift fork that is bigger and stonger that goes in too.
So then the Saab mechanic was following the upgrade directions sent from Saab and realized the part blow up picture was incorrect. He talked to the tech headquaters and they aggreed they were wrong. My Saab apparently is the first 9-3 to get the upgrade. I'm supposed to get it back tonight but we'll see. Mean while I've been driving a 9-5 loaner which is nice but it's an automatic. :-(
My Dawes boost controller should arrive today or tomorrow so we'll see just how strong those upgraded part really are! ;-)
