I have an (early) 1999 9-3SE. Some pixels on my Climate Control display weren't working when I took delivery of the car, and the unit was replaced under warranty when I took it in for my first service. Approximately a year later, some pixels on the new display failed, and the dealer replaced the unit again under warranty.

One vertical row of pixels on my SID went out yesterday, but when I restarted the car, all was OK. The same row of pixels failed one other time yesterday, but since then it has been fine. If the problem persists, I'll have the dealer replace the SID under warranty.

Ask your dealer to replace your Climate Control unit and your SID if you continue to have problems.
