I called up a dealer and ask about Texamatic ATF specified in the manual. They do not have it or use it for service. They said to use any Dexron III, and also said they are using non-synthetic 'GM goodwrench' fluid (no idea what's that is).

When I compared spec. of Texamatic and Mobile 1 ATF Dex III, their viscosity index and flow characteristics were so similar, which makes me believe that Texamatic is synthetic.

Anyway, can I use Mobile 1 for the change, or better choice out there?

Also the manual said I can only drain about 4 qt. out of over 7 qt. capacity. Any way to completely change the fluid, or is it good enough to replace just the portion?
