Word is, Edmunds stopped quoting rebates etc unless these are available everywhere. Apparently, they're not. Apparently GM offers better deals in places where Saabs need a boost in sales. I just don't know. Below, there is a rather long thread on price.
Word is, Saab leathers are rather better than other makers' leathers. With care, they tend to stand up (even get better) over time. Ony the seats themselves are leather. The sides and fronts are vinyl.
In addition to the leather care products I've seen people talking about here, I wonder whether anyone has ever used that special product sold in sports stores to make new baseball gloves ready for catches. It's a foam.
These are my first leather seats since an MGB I owned once, which had to take sunlight a lot. I find leather easier to clean than fabrics. Where fabrics will take on dirt in the fibres, with leather, the spot stays on top and a damp cloth is usually enough cleaning. OTOH, don't ever sit down on leather with so much as a sharp comb or gargage tool sticking our your back pocket.
