same happened on my 1st oil change. My dealer confessed that his techs tend to overtighten due to fear of client coming back in with leaky drain plug. I have done all changes myself (6) since (with a new plug) and do not tighten too hard. No leaks yet. Maybe Mr. Goodwrench is infiltrating SAAB? Do use a 6 pt socket and be very careful to have it properly aligned. The drain plug has tapered sides if you look closely. Nice design, if you want to sell lots of new drain plugs!
