9-3 depreciation is unbelieveable!

I was thinking of trading in my 9-3 for something else and was very surprised to see how little the car is worth. One dealer offered $13,000 for it and one offered $14,700. I called the one that offered $14,700 to see if they could do better. They made some calls and told me that they were told that their offer was a little high. I couldn't believe that my 2 year old 9-3 in perfect condition with on 23K miles on it is worth so little.
