A few years ago a massive hailstorm hit New Orleans and caused damage to thousand of cars (luckily I was in a parking garage at work). My brother had the 50 or so golf-ball sized dents (along with some quite bigger) repaired at a reputable full-time PDR shop and it came out great with no perceptible damage. If I was you I would report this incident immediately to your insurance agency and make an appointment at a full-time PDR shop immediately because if it affected a large area they're going to be swamped for months. I say full-time because every Tom, Dick, and Harry started advertising PDR services after the storm in order to cash in. I don't know if they were free-lance repairers who flew in and leased a spot in a repair garage or service station, or if the regular staff started doing the repairs, but personally I'd rather go to someone who I know does the work in the same location every day and will still be there after the cash cow dies. I had my old car repaired several times at the same PDR place for parking lot dings and I've always been satisfied with the results. It must be so simple because they never let you watch them work. I think they believe that people would refuse to pay the money they charge if they saw how little time they take to do it. The place I go to usually charges like $75 dollars for the first ding and $10-20 for each additional ding. If they know your insurance company is paying for it, expect a lot more. I know I'm getting ripped when I pay $100 bucks for a few dings to be removed and it took them like 15 minutes to do (that's $400 an hour!!!) using no materials, but it's still hundreds cheaper than to pull and paint it (with no worry about the paint not matching). I guess you're paying for their expertise, but it's still a money-maker. Overall, I'd recommend PDR. Good luck.
