CD changer and CDR disks?

I am considering the SAAB CD changer for my '01 9-3 base.
Has anyone had any experience with CDR disks in the stock changer?
I have the cassette up front and an aftermarket 12 disk changer in the trunk connected through an FM modulator.
The volume with the aftermarket changer is noticably less than the radio or tape plus I want to use the steering wheel controls.
So I am considering the SAAB changer but want to know if it can play audio CDR disks. I haven't yet figured out how to make audio disks on my computer but I want to be able to play them in case I ever get it figured out.
