I'm sick of auto reviewers!...A rant...

The current Automobile magazine states, "The will be the last year for the current 9-3, and to it we say, don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya." Page 68.
I realize that the suspension of the 9-3 isn't ideal, but, to be honest, I think the car handles and rides very well for what it is. I have a blast in the car, and I can carry all kinds of large items that cannot be carried in a BMW, Audi, or Lexus. The 3-series is generally heralded for its handling, particularly at the "edge," when the car is traveling fast. However, I can honestly say that I've never come close to this type of speed. Where in most places of the US can you drive the car at the "edge" of its handling capabilities? I regularly double the speed limit in certain areas where I drive, and I've never exceeded the handling capabilities of the car. I'm afraid to go any faster because of traffic and safety concerns (not my safety -- the safety of other travelors or animals that might be on the road).
These car mag people have to realize that not everyone takes their cars to the track and not everyone cares that the slalom result for the 9-3 is 1 second less than the slalom result of a WRX (or whatever). I'll never be able to perform a slalom at 70mph anyway.
Plus, the 9-3 is stylish, is comfortable, is unique, is well built, has a good warranty, and is practical. That cannot be said about a lot of its competition.
Anyway, I think that automobile magazine writers have to broaden their horizens and stop choosing automobiles solely on how they drive at high speeds.
