I have just purchased a new 93 SE and will pick it up in Sept. i felt for the price that I can make my own Viggen for thousands less than the Viggen price. I plan to have the dealer upgrade to the Saab turbo exhaust so it will be covered under the full warranty. I have spoken numerous times to the Dave Whiteside at Abbott Racing and will be installing the viggen rescue kit at the dealer to tighten up the suspension ($799 plus about 5 hours of labor). Abbott will also soon be offering its ECU upgrade here in the US rather than sending back to England. Dave says the ECU reprogramming can be done in about 1 day and he assures me that I will see 45 more horses galloping down the road. Dave will give discounts on the Viggen rescue package if several people are interested. This package will improve any 93 platform dramatically. I also would like to upgrade to 17 inch wheels and tires but don't want to pay the dealer cost for these. Anyone have any good suggestions here? Also will be adding low restriction filter from Abbott or KN. Have one on my 92 9000 and love its. Immediate 3-4 mpg difference and noticeable horsepower increase. Any other cosmetic or performance suggestions anyone can make for the SE. I loved the viggen seats but couldn't see 48 more vs. the SE.
