Which is OK because your deductible on vandalism (if you use insurance at all) would be less than the cost to repaint.

I still think there has to be a whiz-bang chemical the specialists at the body shop could use. I wouldn't mess about picking at it.

Maybe go out and get the car as dirty as possible; clean all the glass off and pretend you're an offroader until you get it looked at by the pros.

Sorry for your troubles.

When I was a kid, I helped my Dad pick out a brand new Pontiac Grand Prix back in the days they were halfway cool. Within a week, somebody had thrown a live cigarette in the window when I was at the night club and the car was a write-off. My Dad then bought a huge metallic brown Electra 225. Blech.
